At the start of the coronavirus situation, I felt really anxious trying to figure out how to take care of my medical needs. My original, in-person primary care doctor had set up a tele-health system, but you had to wait a long time to get an appointment, and the appointments were very short. It was too stressful. Then I found Dr. Antonatos on the Medici app, and getting an appointment to see him is a breeze (if it’s urgent, sometimes we can have a chat right away). He’s very patient and seems more knowledgeable about my various medical conditions than my previous in-person doctors. I’ve actually had an improvement in one of my conditions with a medication change since I started with him. The doctor is super thorough: when I had a certain situation, he needed me to get some labs done. He was able to order a lab through a same-day service at a local place that cost about $10 (much less money than what my insurance would have charged at the same place). I wanted to go out of my way to write this review because I hope more people can have a chance to get medical care through this very reasonably-priced and very high-quality service at this time of great crisis that we’re all going through during the covid-19 lockdown situation. Even though I have insurance, it’s worth paying for this service out of pocket. But the price seems like it’s probably ok for a lot of people who don’t have insurance too. Nothing like what you’d pay at the office, at least. Anyway, I usually don’t write reviews, but had to do this one not for the doctor, but for the people out there who need very good medical care who are unable to leave their homes, who are short on cash, or whatever it might be.
