What is the difference between Basic and Annual membership?
Basic Membership ($180/year) gives you unlimited secure text messaging with Dr. Antonatos year-round — for urgent care, medication refills, ongoing questions, and everyday medical needs. No video visits or lab screening included.
Annual Membership ($350/year) adds three included video consultations, annual metabolic screening labs, GLP-1 evaluation for qualifying patients, member pricing on medications and supplements, 20% off Fullscript, and access to physician-designed health programs. Both plans include direct physician access with no rotating providers.
Text2MD operates as a direct-pay practice — we don’t bill insurance for consultations. This keeps pricing flat, transparent, and without surprise billing. Consultation fees are typically HSA/FSA eligible. Your insurance may cover lab costs if ordered through a standard lab such as Quest or LabCorp.
Will I definitely get a prescription?
No — and that’s intentional. All prescriptions are based on Dr. Antonatos’s clinical judgment following a full physician evaluation. GLP-1 medications, hormone therapy, and other treatments are prescribed only when medically appropriate. Controlled substances are not prescribed through this practice.
If treatment is not appropriate after your consultation, you still leave with a personalized clinical plan — no wasted visit.

Can I upgrade from Basic to Annual membership?
Yes — contact us directly at any time and we’ll prorate the difference. Many patients start with Basic to experience the direct-physician model and upgrade to Annual when they want comprehensive metabolic health support, lab screening, or GLP-1 evaluation.
Is this a replacement for my primary care doctor?
It can supplement or in some cases replace a primary care relationship for patients focused on metabolic health and weight management. It does not replace emergency care or specialist services requiring in-person examination. Annual Membership patients receive comprehensive primary care support including lab orders, specialist referrals, and ongoing condition management.
