Is this a replacement for my regular doctor or insurance?
Not a replacement for insurance — membership does not cover hospitalizations, specialist procedures, or emergency care. You should maintain health insurance for those situations.
It can replace or supplement a primary care relationship for patients who struggle to access timely primary care, who prefer a direct-pay model, or who want focused metabolic and preventive care beyond what a standard PCP appointment covers. Many members use Text2MD alongside their existing insurance for day-to-day care and metabolic health management.
What happens when my 3 video visits are used up on the annual plan?
Additional video visits are available to annual members at $65 per visit — the same rate as our standard service pages. Secure messaging remains available year-round with no per-message cost.
Most members find 3 video visits per year sufficient for annual labs review, preventive planning, and one issue-based visit — with messaging handling the rest.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Annual at any time?
Yes — contact us directly and we’ll prorate the difference. Many patients start with Basic to experience the model and upgrade once they see the value of the annual plan’s metabolic health features.
Does membership guarantee a GLP-1 prescription?
No — membership does not guarantee any prescription, test, or treatment. All care is based on Dr. Antonatos’s clinical judgment and medical appropriateness. Annual membership includes evaluation for GLP-1 therapy — if you qualify, you’ll receive member-preferred pricing starting around $77/month.

Both plans are per-individual — each family member would need their own membership. That said, the Basic plan at $180/year ($0.50/day) makes it very accessible for multiple family members. Contact us to discuss family arrangements.
