Other treatments may be appropriate depending on your goals. If pregnancy is desired, the approach to cycle regulation, ovulation, and medications changes. If acne, hair growth, or hair loss is the primary concern, treatment may need to address androgen effects directly as well as insulin resistance.
Track progress beyond the scale
Weight can be one useful outcome, but it is not the only sign that your plan is working. Improvements may show up as more predictable cycles, fewer cravings, steadier energy, better sleep, increased strength, smaller waist circumference, improved triglycerides, or better glucose markers.
